The Powerball® jackpot has been won! A single ticket sold in California matched all six numbers drawn on Wednesday night, resulting in a $1.08 billion jackpot win. This is the sixth largest lottery jackpot in U.S history and the third largest Powerball jackpot ever. The drawing pushed the jackpot beyond its earlier $1 billion mark, making it worth a final ticket sales value of $1.08 billion. The jackpot has a cash value of $558 million.

The winning numbers for the Powerball drawing on Wednesday, July 19th, were 2X as the multiplier, with 24 red Power Play® balls and 24, 13, 11, 10, and 7 white balls.

If the winner selects the annuity option, they will receive an immediate payment followed by a 5% increase in annual payments each year. The lucky ticket holder will have the choice between a lump sum payment of $558.1 million or an annuitized prize of $1.08 billion. Both prize options are subject to taxes.

The combined worth of cash prizes for lower-tier winning players with a million dollars was $85.1. The Powerball drawing produced more than 4.8 million tickets nationwide. Lotteries participating in the event are reminding players to check their tickets for one of the nine ways to win. Even though the jackpot was won by a single ticket, there are still more tickets to be checked.

62 tickets won prizes of $100,000 each, while 195 tickets won prizes of $50,000 each. Additionally, on January 5, 2023, a jackpot of 754.6 million dollars was won in Washington. This year, the Powerball jackpot was won in other jackpots as well. Finally, after eluding players for three months, the Powerball jackpot was hit on Wednesday night, marking the 39th drawing.
