It encloses a lagoon with an area of 295 square kilometers and has a land area of 9.7 square kilometers.

Malabo | Equatorial Guinea

Ciudad de la Paz, which was designed to replace Malabo as the capital of Equatorial Guinea, is a planned city under construction in the mainland. Malabo is the oldest city in Equatorial Guinea. The city had a population of approximately 297,000 in 2018. It is located on the north coast of the island of Bioko. Malabo is the capital of the province of Norte Bioko and Equatorial Guinea.

Malé | Maldives

The group of islands known as the Maldives is called “Malé”. After the word “Maldives”, its capital is named Malé. The whole island group includes Thilafushi, Gulhifalhu, Vilimalé, Hulhumalé, and Hulhulé, which are part of the city. The central part of the city is formed by the island of Malé. Manila | Philippines

Manila is located on the eastern shore of Manila Bay, on the island of Luzon. In June 1949, it became autonomous with the passage of Republic Act No. 409, known as “The Revised Charter of the City of Manila.” On July 31, 1901, Manila was designated as the first chartered city in the country by Act No. 183 of the Philippine Commission. Manila is the second-most populous city and the capital of the Philippines.

Maputo | Mozambique

Maputo is the most populous city and the capital of Mozambique. It has a number of landmarks including Railway Station, Tunduru Gardens, the central market, the Fortress, City Hall, and Independence Square. Maputo is situated on a large natural bay on the Indian Ocean, near the convergence of the Mbuluzi, Tembe, and Matola rivers. The city is named after I Maputsu, the chief of the Tembe clan, a subgroup of the Tsonga people.

Maseru | Lesotho

Maseru is the largest city and the capital of Lesotho. The city was established as a police camp and assigned as the capital after the country became a British protectorate in 1869. Melekeok boasts extensive coastlines, rolling hills, rugged slopes, winding rivers, and Lake Ngardok, which is not only the largest but also the sole natural freshwater lake in both the Republic of Palau and Micronesia.
