In 2022, the categories “Immersion” and “Theme” have been merged and renamed as “Atmosphere”. It is our intention to give more credit to attractions that have demonstrated a clear focus on better maintaining and achieving customer experiences. This includes both the creative development of storylines and the experiences inside and outside attractions.
The average weighted scores for each category in this review are calculated using several questions that rate a scale of 10 to 1.
The following breakdown explains what these scores typically mean. All of our Teams use this as a reference for providing accurate ratings:.
“10’s” are exclusively allotted for the crème de la crème; those whom we believe have reached the pinnacle of their craft and cannot conceivably enhance their current achievements. This rating is regarded with utmost reverence, as if it is safeguarded by a metaphorical chastity belt. A perfect score of 10 symbolizes “Peak Performance”.
Attractions like this are difficult to find, and these guys are the industry leaders. It was one of the most impressive we have ever witnessed, and almost everything went according to plan. It was fantastic! “Revolutionary and pioneering” – 9.
Most attractions can learn from what these individuals are doing. They were knowledgeable in effectively utilizing it and had a strong grasp on it. “Impressive” – an excellent rating on our scale.
This is a call about the top end of what we’d call “Family Friendly”. Significant improvements can be made in areas where we can detect or see much better done in other places. However, we’ve seen that a good effort was made, we could tell that it could be rated as a “Good” 7 out of 6.
The range in which “Family Friendly” is typically evaluated includes scares and special effects. While they were not outstanding, they were certainly not the worst when compared to the “Average / Fair” offerings of the competition, scoring a 5.
At this job, most of the other professional attractions are much better, but this job is doing much better than most of the other professional attractions.
From 1 to 2: “Inadequate”It seemed that minimal time, consideration or effort was devoted to this aspect.
Zero: “Non-Existent” No visible attempt was made to ensure that this had a substantial impact on the appeal.
Do you have any feedback about our system? We hope that this review helps you in comparing and looking at other attractions and scores. We strive to be consistent and fair in our reviews of all haunted attractions. However, we also take into account our gut feelings and may give slightly lower scores when in doubt. While it is nearly impossible to completely prevent subjectivity in ratings and reviews, we do our best to not let our emotions or feelings cloud our judgement when viewing attractions through the lens of a typical haunt-goer. This is why we provide detailed explanations for each category to help you better understand why we chose the scores we did. It is important to note that the score does not tell the whole story of the attraction – sometimes the story of an attraction is more important than the score itself. Regardless, our core values remain true in promoting all haunted attractions, and we understand that there will always be minor differences between teams. We always keep this in mind and strive to maintain a standardized rating system across all of Factor’s Scare The Teams.
