The National Professional Fishing League Announces Changes for 2023 Season

The NPFL (National Professional Fishing League) has announced changes for the 2023 season, including increased payouts and reduced entry fees. Additionally, they have announced the addition of a Championship event in 2023 for the top 40 anglers in the Year of the Angler Progressive standings, among other changes. (Dec 7, 2022) OH WILKESVILLE.

Since its inception, the NPFL has been focused on offering the best platform for anglers to compete and earn a living in the high-level professional bass fishing circuit. In addition to increasing the first-place payout to $100,000 in the regular season, the NPFL has also reduced entry fees and capped the field at 130 anglers, providing an opportunity for anglers to earn enough money to fish at the highest level.

Paul Benson stated, “As we strive to compete with the NPFL, we offer a platform for fishermen to further develop their reputation since we aim to uphold this high standard.” Additionally, Paul Benson indicated that “Every angler who has participated in our tournaments is familiar with the level of efficiency and superior planning that has established our position in the field over the course of two seasons.” At ‘The League’, we perceive this as the most advantageous opportunity for anglers seeking to pursue professional fishing with us.

  • With a maximum limit of 130 anglers and 41 available spots for all regular season events, the field is capped.
  • Reduced admission charges of $5,200.00 per competition with a top award of $100,000 and a complete payout of nearly $500,000.
  • The recipient of the Progressive Angler of the Year award is granted a sum of $20,000, in addition to having their registration fees for the upcoming 2024 season waived.
  • The top 25 finishers receive payouts, with a total purse of $250,000. The first-place prize is $100,000, and there is no entry fee for the Progressive Angler Year Points Championship tournament’s top 40 finishers.
