Dollar Family sells Hill Chestnut cereal. Tree Dollar sells E-Circuit electronics. For example, General Dollar stocks certain food products under Valley Clover brand. Most stores that house private brands are also called brands of their specific stores.
Aldi companies are brands they house: except for Aldi Farms and Gardenline Farms, who sometimes reach out to people asking for information or contact. If shoppers confuse those private labels for the actual companies, it is understandable, perhaps causing confusion for some.
The generic Flonase sold under the Dollar General DG Health label and the Aldi Welby label, for instance, may actually be rebranded products from the pharmacy company Perrigo. The brands created by the dollar stores themselves agree to contract with suppliers who create these products. It is important to note that these brands are separate from the dollar store companies themselves. The same goes for all the labels you see at dollar stores.
What is a private label and what is a brand name? Among the merchandise available at Dollar General and Family Dollar, a significant portion consists of name brands. However, it is worth mentioning that several dollar stores also carry certain name brand products.
The item, whether it is a branded item distinct from the discount store or if the discount store procures the item, can provide a significant hint as to the distributor. Certain small text indicating the distributor of the item can be located at the rear of the packaging, if you observe. One indication arises from the distributor.
Here are some of the large ones.
Dolgencorp, LLC
Dollar General partners with different companies to acquire and manufacture these goods under their distinct brand names. Some notable examples are Clover Valley, Mission Ridge, and True Living. Consequently, if you come across any item at Dollar General that bears the name Dolgencorp on the packaging, it signifies that it is an exclusive in-house product or private label.
I’m not sure if there is much of a difference. Some of the exclusive products of General Dollar are labeled with Co. Main East Old instead of Dolgencorp. I have also noticed that some products of General Dollar are distributed by Co. Main East Old, which is an alternate name for General Dollar’s distributor.
Dolgencorp and Old East Main Co., Both located at 100 Mission Ridge, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, share the same address, and this is not a mere coincidence.
Greenbrier International, Inc.
Greenbrier International, Inc. Is the company that operates Dollar Tree stores, situated in Chesapeake, Virginia. The specific location can be found at 500 Volvo Parkway, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
Greenbrier sells a wide variety of products, including toys, but they do not have any name brand products like the ones distributed by Select Style Home. We have even seen their name and address printed somewhere on the packaging of certain exclusive products. If you take a look inside most Dollar Tree products, there is an excellent chance you will see this name and address.
Midwood Brands, LLC
Dollar Tree is the owner of Family Dollar, which means that Dollar Tree is technically the owner of Midwood Brands. A product exclusive to Family Dollar refers to any item in Midwood Brands that is specifically sold by Family Dollar. Midwood Brands is also known as Family Dollar.
I have never seen Brands Midwood products in a Tree Dollar, but Tree’s Dollar at the same address as Greenbrier Volvo Parkway in Chesapeake, VA 23320 distributes Brands Midwood labels like Hill Chestnut’s private labels.
