REAL Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania’s boyfriend Paul Connell will soon be officially divorced, The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal.

More than a year before meeting Dolores, Paul “Paulie” Connell’s former spouse initiated the process of ending their marriage in New York.

Now, The U.S. Sun has exclusively learned that he is still involved in the divorce three years later.

Paul’s former partner, Joanne Connell, initiated divorce proceedings just before Valentine’s Day on February 4, 2020.

The last filing was submitted in October 2020, requesting judicial intervention (RJI) for a yet-to-be-assigned judge.

Since divorces in New York are confidential, additional information about the proceedings is not available.

Joanne, a 49-year-old female from Rockland County, has minimal presence on social networking platforms.

Paul and Joanne had been wedded for more than 16 years and have two offspring together.

When contacted for a statement by The U.S. Sun, Paul’s former partner asked for privacy.

Dolores’ relatives, comprising of her former partner Frank and his girlfriend Brittany Mattessic, were having dinner when Paul revealed that he has “already” bought an engagement ring for Dolores.

In her disclosure, the celebrity from Real Housewives expressed her emotions regarding the potentiality of getting engaged in the near future.

Dolores said, “It’s nice to think about these things – before we got married, Frank and I bought a house before my dad said we should put a name on it and before the horse bought the cart.”
