They haven’t been shy about talking about their love for each other and have appeared together at various events. Maya Rudolph, a successful actress, has had her own background and career in the spotlight for over 20 years. Although their romance started in 2001, it is still going strong.

Paul is known for directing movies such as Blood, Be Will There and Love, Punch-Drunk, Magnolia, Nights, Boogie. How did Maya and Paul meet?

Maya admitted that she didn’t want to share how they met because she wanted to keep it between them. “I don’t want to share it. It’s a sweet, personal thing… No,” she said. Sparks started flying between Paul and Maya following their breakup with Apple Fiona singer in 2001, but they have never publicly shared how they met.

Paul is an impressive filmmaker.

Paul, who was named one of the best filmmakers in the world by The Guardian, has directed several popular music videos and films throughout his career. Some of the movies he has worked on include Punch-Drunk Love, Magnolia, and Boogie Nights, while his music videos include those produced for Fiona, Radiohead, HAIM, and many other epic artists.

However, individuals who have participated in his movies have achieved victory on several occasions, demonstrating that he himself has not yet accomplished this feat. Maya and Paul aren’t technically married.

We are a couple and we’re not going anywhere, and I live with him, which means he is the father of my child. Paul’s 2017 film, ‘Phantom Thread,’ was sort of inspired by their relationship.

Paul verified that the film, which revolves around “an acclaimed fashion designer whose life is upended by a determined and spirited woman named Alma, who becomes both his inspiration and his lover, was partially influenced by his relationship with Maya. “I recall being quite ill, battling the flu, and in that moment, I glanced up to see my wife looking at me with such tenderness that it crossed my mind, ‘Could she possibly want me to stay this way, perhaps for a week or two?'” He shared with Collider in 2018. “During my illness, as I lay in bed, I mistakenly watched movies like Rebecca, The Story of Adele H., And Beauty and the Beast, and I genuinely began to wonder if she was secretly poisoning me. So that seed of an idea was planted in my mind when I embarked on the journey of crafting something.” When I started working on a writing project, this idea was already present in my mind.
