Patrick Swayze was born in 1952 in Houston, Texas. He was a dancer, choreographer, and dance instructor, as well as an engineering draftsman. Patsy Swayze, his mom, owned and fought against segregation in her own ballet studio. Wayne Jesse Swayze, Patrick’s dad, was also a dancer.

What was the cause of Patrick Swayze’s death?
He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 20 months before his death in January 2008. Surrounded by friends and family, Swayze passed away at his Los Angeles home in 2009.
Frequently, he received the devastating news of a terminal verdict despite persisting with his work. After six months, he was diagnosed with a condition that exceeded his anticipated lifespan, a condition he humorously referred to as the “miracle dude” diagnosis, in honor of Swayze.
He asked The New York Times in October 2008, “When all the data indicates that you’re a deceased person, how do you cultivate a hopeful mindset?”

Swayze entered a coma shortly afterwards and on September 14, 2009, he peacefully passed away.

We stepped onto the stage, and when I gazed into his eyes, it felt as if everything awakened.” The two crossed paths when Swayze reached the age of 18.
Although many thought it would make sense for Niemi to star alongside Swayze in the inspiring song “Wind Like She’s Dancing Dirty,” Widelitz and Stacy Swayze co-wrote the play in part.
“I simply felt during that period that I am extremely fortunate to possess a lady who believes I am exceptional,” expressed Patrick Swayze in his memoir, One Last Dance: Patrick Swayze, as his song debuted in the movie and reached the top 100 on Billboard charts. Swayze emphasized that Niemi served as his muse.
