Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren’s “Yellowstone” spin-off series, “1923,” is indefinitely postponed due to the ongoing national writer’s strike.
As per NBC Montana, the ongoing labor disagreement led by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) has compelled the widely acclaimed television show to alter its direction and postpone the production for the second season, which was scheduled to commence this week.
The strike by the Writers Guild of America started on May 2 and doesn’t seem to be getting closer to a solution.

Melvin Bill, the manager of Civic Center, was advised by the strike’s writing team to delay the major production. However, he was advised to return to Butte, Montana for “1923” Production.
As per the media source, the production has asked for an additional 10 days to utilize Butte-Silver Bow’s facilities, which were established by Taylor Sheridan. However, it still requires authorization from the City-County Commission, despite the fact that the extension has already been approved by the Civic Center board.

The production crew of “1923” might have to request extra extensions, depending on how long the Writers Guild of America strike lasts.
Although Melvin noted that the WGA’s movement may impact other strikes, the resolution to strike the writer’s team production is available at the Civic Center.

Do you not want a change? Do you not? The scene is not too long either. The scene is not too short either. They are beautifully constructed. I wouldn’t be surprised if he had already written some of it. Then we can start working. If that’s not the case, I guess we’ll have to put it off for a while.
Mirren mentioned that she hasn’t received a script for the second season yet.
“I anticipate that we’ll be diving in without any knowledge of the situation,” she included.
