In the city of Alamo, here are a few of my preferred spots for breakfast tacos. However, I will allow you to form your own opinions, as every resident of San Antonio has a breakfast taco place that they believe is the finest.
P.S. You might also appreciate our guide to the top Mexican breakfasts in San Antonio.
Tacos and Coffee Mexican Eatery
When I first visited this restaurant called Martinez Cafe, I found that the tacos were okay for breakfast, but Joe was not really focused on making a fantastic cup of coffee for these folks.
If you want a genuine taste of the wonders of Argentina, give the Submarino a try, which is a coffee made by steeping it with a chocolate bar. Mmm.
Also, authentic are tacos with cheese and egg, bacon the however delight post-exercise a as month a few times a plate rancheros huevos the consume to accustomed I! Exceptionally delicious are tacos of theirs.
Tacos Y Cafe offers a stunning atmosphere and excellent cuisine if you’re seeking an affordable place to enjoy a sit-down breakfast taco. Overall, it is a wonderful choice.
Tacos and Salsa
Salsa N Tacos has become our go-to spot for breakfast on Saturdays, and today’s visit turned into many more. But when the new location on Huebner opened up just down the road from us, we knew we had to give it a try. My husband spoke about this place as if it were a legendary or mythical spot. I am absolutely obsessed with Salsa N Tacos.
Seriously. The proprietor is aware of our request at present and everything.
Tacos N Salsa, however, is renowned for its extensive selection of fresh salsas; feel at liberty to taste-test each and every salsa option available! What I particularly enjoy is the papa ranchera taco, while my husband prefers the chicharron and carne guisada tacos. (As for me, I personally recommend the arbol chili salsa, but feel free to choose whichever you prefer).
Small Taco Restaurant
Like most breakfast taco places, the Small Taco Factory is open from 7 AM to 2:30 PM and remains closed on Sundays.
The Polish sausage taco that they make is both delicious and unique. The number of cars in the parking lot indicates that this place serves some incredible breakfast tacos. The breakfast plates at the Little Taco Factory are also tasty, but my husband prefers the crispy chicharrones and egg tacos.
Pete’s Tako Restaurant
Pete’s is only open for dinner and lunch, but this place sets the tone for what a nice dining restaurant can be. Your tacos can enjoy and sit where you’re at, it’s so nice – only to-go or small breakfast taco joints are most!
Find it here, this is the spot to experience machacado if you haven’t previously. Pete’s produces a flavorful machacado taco, which includes eggs, pico de gallo, and dried beef (believe me, I understand it may sound unusual if you haven’t tasted it previously).
Tia’s Taco Restaurant
If you’re working an early shift in the morning, this is the place to get your breakfast taco fix. They open at 4:30, so if you’re used to spending a lot of early mornings with the family at Tia’s, you can continue that tradition here.
If it’s your turn to do Taco Friday at work, this is a great place to stop. Tia’s also offers a fairly good drive-thru option. Whether you prefer bean and cheese, papa ranchera, or chorizo and potato, you can’t make a mistake with the traditional tacos served here.
Although I generally dislike the coffee at most breakfast establishments, Tia’s serves exceptional Community coffee!
Broadway Taco Palenque
My husband is obsessed with Palenque Taco, although there isn’t a nearby one, he braves the traffic in SA to acquire the deliciousness of their tacos. I think it’s pretty good and I’ve eaten there several times, he’s a diehard fan.
This is actually a fantastic concept, as the Junior Barbacoa taco from Palenque Taco has a smaller portion size if you only want a little bit of barbacoa. However, my husband prefers to treat himself to the chicharron tacos.
I’m going to Palenque’s Taco Heaven with a small plate of avocado salsa, refried beans, and chorizo cheese. The breakfast Pirata taco comes with crunchy potatoes.
Mimi’s Barbecue
I love bacon, but they don’t. Some of the best tacos I have ever had are still flimsy, which is why I’ll make the trip for their cheese and egg tacos, bacon included, every now and then. When I used to live in Castle Hills, Mimi’s was our go-to taco spot.
Mimi’s specializes in barbacoa, which you can purchase by the pound, along with tortillas and salsa.
They rarely make the trip back to the house, but their breakfast tacos are still darn good, even without a lot of seating in this small, family-homey style place.
Taco Tacos
As I have tasted all other tacos, it serves as the benchmark for comparison, and this was the initial breakfast taco I ever experienced, Taco Taco will forever hold a unique position in my heart.
Guy Fieri even showcased them on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, so you can be sure that this establishment is genuine!
I assure you that Taco Taco is the right place to stop on the road down from my old alma mater, as they have stopped up a lot of my hangovers. The tortillas they use are slightly thicker and fluffier, which makes them perfect for sopping up the juicy salsa and taco fillings. The owner of Taco Taco modified a Greek pita bread recipe to make the tortillas different.
Please note that parking and seating at Taco Taco are limited. It is recommended to arrive early, anticipate a possible wait, or consider getting take-out.
