A 10-year-old boy, who was part of a family that referred to themselves as “the party of life,” along with several of his cousins, and a fourth-grade teacher, were among those killed in a mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, as reported by ABC News on Tuesday.

As per the Texas Department of Public Safety, a shooter initiated gunfire at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, located to the west of San Antonio, leading to the tragic loss of nineteen children and two educators.

Two days after the heart attack, the husband of one of the teachers who were also killed died, as the couple was planning to celebrate their 25th anniversary year.

The alleged gunman – identified by officials as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, a student at Uvalde High School – is dead, authorities said.

Annabell Rodriguez, Jacklyn’s 10-year-old cousin, was also fatally injured in the tragic incident.

Makenna Lee Elrod, ten years old

The family of Makenna, a 10-year-old girl, described her as “a beacon of joy for everyone who knew her.”

The young girl adored playing baseball and training in acrobatics and also took pleasure in singing and performing dance routines.

“Allison McCullough, Makenna’s aunt, mentioned that her smile had the ability to illuminate any room. Makenna had a fondness for playing with her brothers, sisters, and cousins. Everywhere she went, Makenna effortlessly formed friendships. Makenna thoroughly enjoyed accompanying her father to the ranch, where they would feed animals and ride on the ranger. Additionally, Makenna possessed a natural inclination for leadership and had a deep affection for school. Leaving hidden notes for her family to discover later was one of Makenna’s cherished pastimes. Her vibrant spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.”

McCullough informed ABC News that the educators who protected Makenna during the gunfire were McCullough’s closest companions.

McCullough and Makenna’s mother are twins and they both work as educators for the district.

“Makenna was incredibly stunning,” expressed McCullough. “We are utterly devastated.”

Jose Flores, ten years old

Eliahna Garcia

The relatives of Eliahna Garcia, a 10-year-old, were given the tragic update on Tuesday that she was among the casualties. This devastating update was communicated by her aunt, Siria Arizmemdi.

Wednesday stated that Arizmendi, a teacher for the 5th grade at Flores Elementary School within the identical school district, expressed, “She was extremely joyful and exceptionally sociable.” “She adored dancing and engaging in sports. Uziyah Garcia, eight years old

At Uvalde’s civic center, Manny Renfro learned that his grandson, 8-year-old Uziyah Garcia, was among those killed, the told the Associated Press.

“The most adorable young boy that I’ve ever known,” Renfro stated. “I’m not merely stating that because he was my grandchild.”

Renfro mentioned that Uziyah recently came to see him in San Angelo during the period of spring break.

Renfro stated, “He would execute it just as we rehearsed, and he would recollect to make the specific calls when they were needed.” “Excellent, so he could catch the ball and he was quite fast for a young boy.” I was instructing him passing techniques and we began playing football together.

Amerie Jo Garza, ten years old

Xavier Lopez, a student in the fourth grade, sadly passed away in the tragic incident of the shooting at the primary school on Tuesday, as confirmed by his family to ABC News.

According to his cousin, Xavier’s mom was at his awards ceremony one hour before the shooting, without knowing that she would see him for the last time.

ABC News informed Amelia Sandoval, the grandmother of the child, “He recently performed a TikTok video with her. Engaging in TikTok activities. Engaging in facial treatments. He always enjoyed participating in activities with his mother. He was fond of dancing. Whenever his parents hosted barbecues, he was consistently the center of attention.”

Jayce Carmelo Luevanos, ten years old

The children, Zeke Luevanos, the cousin of Jayce Carmelo Luevanos and Jailah Nicole Silguero, were referred to as “Angels” who constantly wore a cheerful expression on their countenance.

Silguero expressed, “I can’t believe this happened to our angels just two weeks after the loss of our dear grandpa, time went by so quickly.”

Tess Mata, ten years old.

The Mata family said that Tess, their 10-year-old daughter, was a bubbly little girl who loved to dance and had dreams of being TikTok famous.

“I will never let go of my daughter, Veronica Mata, and she has disappeared. It could never happen here, but it happened before and it happened here, not in Uvalde. We would never say ‘that’ we won’t see another mass shooting in the news. Every time we see it.”

During the school attack, Gerry’s father, who happens to be his daughter, was restrained by law enforcement while making desperate attempts to enter and locate her.

Maranda Mathis, eleven years old

Maranda’s mother confirmed to ABC News that her daughter is one of the casualties. Additionally, Maranda’s younger brother, Bruce, who is in the second grade, was present at the school but fortunately did not sustain any injuries.

Eva Mireles, forty-four

Delgado stated that she had been a teacher in the district school for approximately 17 years. Delgado confirmed that Mireles Eva, her fourth-grade teacher at the elementary school, was killed in the shooting, according to her aunt Lydia Martinez.

Delgado stated, “rifles should not be easily accessible to all. These children are innocent. I’m extremely angry about these ongoing shootings.” I never imagined that something like this would happen, especially in my small hometown, which has a population of less than 20,000.”

“All we can do is fervently pray for our nation, state, educational institutions, and especially the households of everyone,” she expressed.

She was commemorated as a caring mother and spouse.

Amber Ybarra, a 34-year-old family member from San Antonio, expressed, “She possessed a daring spirit. I would certainly use those marvelous descriptions to portray her. She will unquestionably be greatly missed.”

At the beginning of the academic year, Mireles published a letter on the school’s website, acquainting herself with her new students.

She had been teaching for 17 years, and she loved hiking and running. She mentioned that her husband was a police officer in the school district. They had three furry friends and a grown daughter. Alexandria Aniyah Rubio was acknowledged on the day of the incident for achieving honor roll and being a “responsible individual.”

Jailah Nicole Silguero, eleven

Veronica Luevanos, in a tearful interview with Univision, revealed that her daughter Nicole Jaliah Silguero, a 10-year-old girl, did not want to go to school on Tuesday because something seemed off to her.

Adolfo Cruz spent over 10 hours standing outside of Robb Elementary School in search of answers regarding his granddaughter, Eliahana Cruz Torres.

Cruz informed ABC News on Wednesday morning that he learned she was slain late on Tuesday night.

Rojelio Torres, ten years old.

The shooting claimed the life of her son, as confirmed by the mother of 10-year-old Rojelio Torres to ABC News. She described her son as an intelligent and affectionate child.
