Before taking a break, it was expected that he would say what Brennaman had to say about the Royals’ doubleheader game against Kansas City. In the top of the seventh inning of the first game, he made this comment during the broadcast on Fox Sports Ohio, which is the latest broadcast from the Cincinnati Reds. Over the years, there have been a lot of problematic moments or “Hot” comments accidentally transmitted due to broadcasters not being aware of their microphones.

“One of the lively capitals of the world. Reds Live, the pregame show, presented by Ray St. Clair Roofing…”
Former MLB player Clark Jack, who is now deceased, mistakenly declared his former neighbor as the “sucks guy” during an on-air statement this season. This incident is not his first silly remark, but it has created some controversy, including a long-standing hot mic incident in 2013 where he made a derogatory comment about gay people. It’s a less obvious reference to Kansas, including a quote from the movie “Blazing Saddles,” rather than mentioning San Francisco. It’s still shocking to think that a longtime baseball broadcaster would make such comments on live air, especially while wearing a microphone. That’s truly a bizarre and embarrassing situation.
If there is an update, we will air it on Ohio Sports Fox. Even if Brennaman didn’t know, it is incredibly foolish to say such a stupid thing on air in 2020.
MLB.Tv has aired the broadcast of the first game, which includes the clip of Brennaman’s comments. The update is scheduled for August 19th at 8:00 PM Eastern time.
On August 19, at 9:20 p.M. Eastern Time, there was an update: Brennaman’s apology during the live broadcast was momentarily interrupted as he announced a home run. However, let’s get back to the main topic. Jim and the booth are now moving on from this incident and concluding the discussion.

The ballgame will be a 4-0 victory, and Castellanos will hit a deep drive into left field for a home run. I think of myself as a man of faith and pride, so I am very, very sorry from the bottom of my heart. I can’t tell you how much I regret and feel ashamed if I have hurt anyone out there. Earlier tonight, I made a comment on the mound as Holland took over.
I apologize deeply for the way I have acted tonight. I am very sorry and I beg for your forgiveness, Jim. I can’t begin to tell you how deeply I regret my actions. I would like to think that maybe some people could understand and forgive me, but I know that is not always possible. I want to apologize to anyone I may have offended here tonight, as well as the people I work with at Ohio Sports Fox and the Reds. I also want to apologize to my bosses at Fox and the Reds, as I don’t know what will happen if I continue to make mistakes like this.
