For the initial time, a groom from South Carolina is revealing his narrative, whose wife was tragically killed on their wedding day by a suspected intoxicated motorist.
Earlier in the day, the pair had recently commemorated their marriage. Two additional individuals, Aric Hutchinson and Samantha Miller, sustained severe injuries, as did her recently wedded spouse. A suspected intoxicated motorist collided with a golf cart transporting four individuals from the rear vicinity near Charleston, South Carolina on the evening of April 28, resulting in the death of 34-year-old Samantha Miller.
“Sam’s simply radiates with positivity. She’s the kind of person who enters a room and immediately catches your attention,” Hutchinson remarked.
Following a flawless day, Hutchinson conducted his first interview with “Good Morning America” after the devastating incident that claimed his wife’s life, revealing how he is managing the overwhelming grief.
Hutchinson stated, “I’m still attempting to wrap my head around it, understanding that it’s a pretty rough low, going from an all-time high to an all-time low.”
He mentioned that the pair had been encircled by companions and relatives who had journeyed from various parts of the nation.
Hutchinson expressed, who further mentioned that the wedding and reception constituted one of the most remarkable evenings of his existence, “She was incredibly delighted. I mean, organizing a wedding, as the majority of individuals are aware, is exceedingly anxiety-inducing. And she simply possessed an unusual, tranquil demeanor during that particular evening.”
According to WCIV affiliate ABC Charleston, there were severe injuries sustained in an accident involving Miller and Hutchinson, who were riding in a golf cart. The injuries included cuts, brain bleeds, and fractures to Hutchinson’s back, face, and legs. Hutchinson’s mother has set up a GoFundMe page to support him.
Hutchinson stated that he does not recall the accident but remembers the final statement his spouse made to him.
Hutchinson stated that the subsequent occurrence he recollected was regaining consciousness in the hospital chamber and inquiring, “Where is Sam?” “I distinctly recall the final statement she made was her desire for the night to be everlasting.”
“That’s when [my mother] informed me about an incident and mentioned that Sam didn’t make it,” he stated.
According to the toxicology report, Komoroski’s blood alcohol level exceeded the legal limit by over three times. As stated in a police report released by the Folly Beach Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred when Jamie Komoroski, the driver of the vehicle that collided with the golf cart, was reportedly driving at a speed of 65 mph in a 25 mph zone. Komoroski, 25, was subsequently arrested and charged with three counts of DUI causing serious bodily injury/death, as well as one count of reckless homicide.
“Our judicial system is built on ideals of fairness and compassion, and that is where all evidence will be revealed,” stated a lawyer representing Komoroski, following her apprehension. “We merely request that there not be a hasty decision made. We cannot comprehend the hardships the families are enduring and extend our sincerest condolences.”
According to the legal action, on the evening of the incident, Hutchinson initiated a lawsuit for a death caused by negligence against Komoroski and various nearby bars and eateries where she purportedly consumed alcohol. The lawsuit additionally identified Komoroski’s employer and manager, who are alleged to have “coerced” her into attending an event and consuming an “unreasonable quantity of alcoholic beverages.”
Komoroski had recently commenced his training for the position, and according to a statement from his employer, there was no “formally arranged employee activity centered on consuming alcohol.”
Hutchinson stated that he is not prepared to speak about Komoroski at the moment.

He returned to the apartment on the third floor that they both lived in, and he mentioned that he can still sense her existence. At the moment, he mentioned that he is concentrating on his recuperation and attempting to cherish his joyful recollections with Sam.
He said, “It was her decision because she knows I enjoy watching her laugh while going up and down these stairs.” Sam wrote it all over the house. It’s also nice, but it’s challenging.
