“Due to personal reasons, Rafael left the Laver Cup early last month, as he and his partner were about to celebrate the arrival of their first child. There had been increasing rumors about this.”
“He mentioned to reporters back in June that he would become a father, assuming everything goes according to plan. The double Olympic champion has been extremely enthusiastic about the prospect of becoming a dad.”
My life will undergo significant changes that I did not anticipate. We will adopt a more subdued profile and live in a calmer manner. I do not usually discuss my personal life.
Rafael departed from the Laver Cup due to “personal circumstances”.
In 2019, Mery and Rafael, who have been together for 17 years, got married to each other in a romantic ceremony held at the stunning Fortaleza La castle in Majorca, with 350 guests in attendance.

“Mery explained that the star previously hinted that he would love my children with the same things that children love. Obviously, I have the intention of forming a family.”
Rafael has expressed his desire to become a father, not just because it’s his only time, but also because he is a person who loves family and kids. “I am a person who loves kids, whether they are girls, boys, or children in general,” he said, having previously shared his time with the Sun.
Mery delivered her baby at 37 weeks.
It is not confirmed what fatherhood will mean for his career tennis future. The Spanish player previously expressed concerns about coinciding parenthood with his training.

“But I also inform you that the truth is, time continues to elapse, and I desire to initiate all of these actions when my athletic career dictates it,” he conveyed to The Sun.
He remarked, “I’m unsure if continuously travelling and having children is the most optimal choice. I believe it primarily revolves around taking care of the children.”
