A scary start to the year. Jeremy Renner was hospitalized on New Year’s Day after sustaining injuries while plowing snow in Nevada.
The Reno Sheriff’s Office responded to a traumatic injury involving the Marvel actor in the Rose Mount area of Highway Rose Mount in Reno.
The Oscar nominee stated, “It’s adequately spacious, and it’s sufficiently compact for my liking, and I adore it.” He currently identifies as a resident of Reno, despite being born and raised in California, as he explained to the Reno Gazette Journal in December 2019. The actor, known for his role in The Hurt Locker, has resided in the Reno region for almost ten years.
In December 2022, “Lake Tahoe snowfall is not to be taken lightly,” the former Hawkeye student tweeted, accompanied by a picture of a car fully covered in snow. Renner has been providing multiple updates regarding the substantial snowfall in recent months, sharing pictures through various social media platforms. “#WinterWonderland.”

On Sunday, December 31st, the city’s weather service reported that the Tahoe Basin and the surrounding areas of Reno received a total of 24 and 20 inches of snow respectively. The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for the Tahoe Basin and Reno over the weekend.
After adhering to the protocols, he was brought back to the ICU “in a critical yet stable state,” with the representative for Renner mentioning that the actor had a surgical procedure on Monday, January 3, just one day following the incident.

The actor opened up about his near-fatal accident in a tell-all interview with journalist Diane Sawyer on April 6th, during which he told her that he chose to survive despite being awake through every moment of the incident, thinking, “I thought you’re not gonna kill me, No way.”
