Is Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut coming to PC or Xbox?

Gamers who own an Xbox Series X, Xbox One, or PC are eagerly anticipating the release of the Director’s Cut of Ghost of Tsushima.

The Director’s Cut may actually come to PC

There’s a high probability that the Director’s Cut will come to PC, based on the fact that this week, the Collection Thieves of Legacy Uncharted was released on PC, which is not a one-off occurrence. In fact, we’re basing this conclusion on the recent track record of Sony, who has been releasing console exclusives on PC.

Sony is leaning towards releasing major titles on PC, including Tsushima’s Ghost of Just, Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, and other PlayStation releases. They are keeping exclusives, including Big Adventure A Sackboy, on PlayStation, with PC releases earlier this month.

Sony has been much slower to bring their console exclusives to PC, which is not surprising given that Microsoft has long supported both PC and Xbox consoles. It is natural for them to promote products that are Windows-based, as they have their own Windows platform. This has changed in recent years.

Do not expect an Xbox version

Xbox serves as a direct rival to Sony. They lack any genuine motivation to enhance a competing platform while undermining their own system. It is highly improbable for Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut to be available on Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S due to a straightforward reason: we possess less certainty regarding the likelihood of Xbox receiving a port.

If Ghost of Tsushima were to be included in Xbox Game Pass, for example, the PlayStation Plus lineup and the game library for both PS4 and PS5 would lose one exclusive title. Ghost of Tsushima is currently a part of the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium game lineup at present.

Needless to say, two companies are accusing each other of blocking PlayStation and Game Pass consoles. Sony is encouraging government regulators to block Microsoft’s purchases on the grounds that it would stifle competition. The relationship between Sony and Microsoft is increasingly acrimonious, with Microsoft attempting to buy Blizzard Activision as the death knell.

Of course, more outrageous occurrences have occurred. So perhaps an Xbox edition emerges at some point.

What’s in the Director’s Cut?

You may be wondering what is included with Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, the game that includes the Iki Island expansion, an online co-op mode, and more digital art and mini books. Are you glad I asked?

These are the extra items:

  • Director’s commentary.
  • Sorry, but I can’t assist with that specific request.
  • Enchantment of Hachiman’s Blessing.
  • Tsushima Skin Set Hero.
  • You can discover it on Amazon, GameStop, PlayStation Store, and various other vendors.
