The Department of Homeless Services (DHS) and the Temporary Housing and Prevention Assistance (PATH) Admission Center are required to seek shelter for families with children who are under 21 years old, as well as pregnant women or families that include pregnant women.
The PATH center is located at the following address: 151 East 151st Street, Bronx, NY 10451. You can reach them at 718-503-6400.
To get there, take trains 2, 4, or 5 to 149th Street/Grand Concourse Station.
Available at all times, there are confidential and free language services, including sign language interpretation services. Requests are processed every day between 9:00 a.M. And 5:00 p.M. The PATH center is open 24 hours a day, every day, including weekends and holidays.

Adult Families
The individuals comprising the family should have cohabitated for a minimum of six months within the previous year. This encompasses married partners, partners in common-law relationships, parents and adult children who are above the age of 21, siblings, or individuals who can substantiate a “care” connection (emotional, physical, or medical assistance). The AFIC (Adult Family Intake Center) located at 400-430 East 30th Street in New York, NY 10016.
In order to arrive at that destination, board the 6 train bound for 28th Street or take the M15 bus bound for 29th Street.
Free and confidential language services, such as sign language interpretation services, are readily accessible at the Adult Family Intake Center (AFIC) at any time, including weekends and holidays, as it operates 24/7.
All family members must bring valid identification, including a proof of residence, a list of their previous addresses, and a residence test.

Single adult women can request refuge at any of the following two locations.
From 11207 NY, take the C train towards Glenmore Avenue and Liberty Avenue, and get off at Shelter Women’s HELP Avenue Williams 116.
To reach your destination, you can either take the 2 subway line to 149th Street or the BX55 bus to 166th Street and 3rd Avenue. The Franklin Shelter can be found at 1122 Franklin Avenue, close to 166th Street, in the Bronx, NY 10456.
The adult singles must return to the refuge that was previously assigned to them if they have been assigned to that place in the last 365 days.
