Why ‘In The Dark’ Won’t Be Back for Season 5 at Netflix

Created by Corinne Kingsbury, In The Dark featured Perry Mattfeld, Rich Sommer, Brooke Markham, and Casey Deidrick in its cast.

The show “The CW” arrived on Netflix in the United States under a sweeping deal, typically between the years 2013 and the present, with the final season airing around the fourth week of September 2022.

The complete collection of All four seasons, which includes 52 episodes, can now be streamed on Netflix US.

Not accessible through a streaming platform, the series remained unsold in numerous international areas. It is important to mention that the show did not become available on Netflix in countries other than the United States.

The CW decided to cancel In The Dark.

Many shows, including Riverdale, The Flash, and Dynasty, were either given final orders or prematurely canceled. One of these shows was The Dark In, which sadly had its plug pulled by The CW several times over the past year.

The announcement comes as the network shifts its programming and adjusts due to its new ownership.

Despite concluding in a manner that establishes possibilities for future seasons, Season 4 is ultimately the last season, indicating that there were no discussions regarding selling the show to a different network.

During an interview with Nerds and Beyond, Perry Mattfeld discussed the details of what the fifth season would have involved for Murphy.

“I think our season 5 would have been interesting to see where Murphy does go. Does she care if she gets caught? Is she just gonna run away with Felix and see how long they can hide and kind of, you know, would we have seen her in a completely different place, would she just be alone? I don’t know. There’s so many ways that could have gone. I think I can say, this is just my opinion, but that most of our fans will feel happy and justified and proud of Murphy for getting some revenge after everything she’s had to go through over the last four seasons.”

When is the departure date for In The Dark from Netflix?

With the conclusion of the show and its availability for streaming on Netflix, the countdown commences for the eventual removal of it from the platform.
