Newsweek provides comprehensive information about Crosby being the father of Etheridge’s children.
Crosby served as a sperm contributor for Etheridge and her previous partner Julie Cypher.
The famous person’s involvement, via the method of assisted reproduction, bestowed the former partners with their two children; female Bailey, who is currently 25 years old, and the late male Beckett.
The news first broke in the February 2000 issue of Rolling Stone, when Dance Jan, Crosby’s wife, along with Cypher and Etheridge, appeared together for a joint interview on television.
Crosby conveyed to the host during the interview on Larry King Live: “I genuinely believe that individuals should not perceive this as such a significant matter. However, I do not imply by that statement that I am treating it with indifference—quite the opposite. I consider it to be a remarkable occurrence, but I believe that individuals are likely exaggerating its importance.”
In the interview, the group also discussed how the situation began, revealing who Crosby’s wife actually was by donating the sperm.
“What about David?” She inquired. David offered his services. She is the individual in question. It emerged from Jan’s lips. We were discussing the prospect of starting a family and the methods we would employ. Their infant, who is eight months old, was present and peacefully slumbering on Jan’s bosom. We were relaxing on the rear veranda. We made a brief visit to the accommodations where Crosby and Dance were residing. Cypher mentioned.
I first met them a long time ago and instantly liked them. I can easily and quickly see them clearly, even from a distance. I just saw them hanging out, and I think they’re really great people. They’re Melissa and Julie’s extremely close friends that we hadn’t even met before. Crosby added, “We didn’t even know that the two couples knew each other so well.”
Following a 12-year relationship, Cypher and Etheridge revealed their separation in August 2000, having previously embraced the arrival of their daughter, Bailey Jean Cypher, in 1997 and their son, Beckett, in 1998.
The couple stated that they would keep co-parenting and their family would “forever remain whole.”
It is not true that Crosby played any role in Beckett’s life. Contrary to the claim that he responded to a tweet following the news of Beckett’s death, Crosby sadly passed away at the age of 21 in May 2020 due to causes associated with opioid addiction.
Expressing gratitude for “the melodies, the smiles, and the affection,” Bailey has honored her biological father on Instagram after his passing.
In 2006, Michaels delivered the twins, non-identical twins who were conceived by an undisclosed contributor, with former companion Tammy Lynn Michaels. Etheridge also has a daughter and son.
In the meantime, Crosby fathered a son named James and two daughters named Erika and Donovan from previous partnerships. Additionally, his widow also had a son named Django with him.
Melissa’s Comments on the Passing of David
After learning about Crosby’s passing, Etheridge turned to Instagram to grieve the biological father of her kids.
She shared a photo of herself and Crosby sitting on a sofa together, Crosby holding a guitar.
His music will inspire many generations to come, serving as a treasure. I will be forever grateful to Jan and Django for introducing me to him. He gave me the gift of family. I am currently grieving the loss of David, my biological father, as well as Bailey’s and Beckett’s friend. Etheridge wrote in the emotional caption: “I am.”
“The statement released to Variety confirmed the death of our beloved David (Croz) Crosby, who was affectionately surrounded by his wife and soulmate Jan and son Django, after a prolonged illness. Dance, referring to Crosby’s widow, expressed deep sadness.”
David and the individuals he influenced, to everyone who was acquainted with David, unity, affection, and tranquility. His iconic melodies will persist to exist through his heritage. He will continue to inspire and lead our souls and humanity, even though he is no longer with us here.
Thank you for the affection and supplications. We humbly and benevolently request for solitude as we mourn and attempt to cope with our deep sorrow. Currently, we will deeply long for him.
