Tragedy in Orange Beach: Texas Man Drowns Amid High Surf Conditions

On Wednesday, at the time of the incident, purple and red warning flags were still flying along Baldwin County’s beaches. Just before 6:00 p.M., Near the west jetty at Perdido Pass, hazardous conditions were observed. The police in Orange Beach are currently investigating the tragic loss of a man from Texas, who apparently drowned in the apparent drowning incident at Orange Beach on Tuesday evening, June 20th.

Dr. Brian Pierce, the coroner for Baldwin County, listed drowning as the cause of death for Brian Pierce. The victim, identified as 47-year-old Hugh Pham, was pronounced dead at approximately 6:40 p.M. He was transported to the Emergency Room at Freestanding Shores Gulf. He was pulled from the water around 5:50 p.M. By bystanders who had initiated CPR. Despite the life-saving measures taken, the victim, identified as 47-year-old Hugh Pham from Murphy, Texas, could not be revived.

The incident took place in a region where sole Crimson banners were soaring, which symbolize Intense Danger with Intense Waves and/or Powerful Currents. On such occasions, individuals who visit the beach are recommended to remain by the coastline. However, the waves had significantly subsided by Wednesday, yet the sole red flag remained hoisted throughout the entire day.
