In the 1960 season, Denny Hamlin became the initial NASCAR victor to be disqualified. At Pocono Raceway in 2022, tape fragments were discovered on the front fascia or nose of the car, resulting in the disqualification of both Hamlin and second-place finisher Kyle Busch. Chase Elliott, who finished in third place, was declared the winner, causing a ripple effect on the remaining NASCAR outcomes, including Stage 1 and 2.
