However, he did mention that Fontes was currently in Brazil and stated that she had been there for approximately three weeks. Detectives proceeded to interrogate Lowe on July 31st.

A neighbor told detectives she’d recently been hearing Lowe’s door open and close in the middle of the night, the report said.

Detectives led a warrant search on Wednesday at Lowe’s storage unit, where they discovered a Ryobi chainsaw that had blood on its blade, as well as housing containing human hair, flesh matter, and bone.

The report mentioned that investigators also discovered a compact Coleman cooler with red marks and stains.

At a news conference Thursday, Delray Beach Police Chief Russ Mager said investigators worked around the clock to solve the “heinous crime.”.

Liberta informed Detective Mike Lead that the police are not aware of the motive, as a lawyer named Lowe was hired and the conversation ceased. In addition, he requested a comparison of this crime with others he has dealt with.

“I would say this is likely the most awful I have witnessed,” Liberta stated.

On Thursday, according to jail records, Lowe was being detained without bail. There is no information available about the attorney.
