Kelsea Ballerini Addresses Tweet She Made About Morgan Wallen In New Song “Doin’ My Best”

Kelsea Ballerini is very straightforward about her brand-new studio album, Subject to Change. Filled with content that showcases the star’s introspection as she navigates through difficult experiences in her twenties, this coming-of-age project was released in late September.

And one song that demonstrates that concept is “Doin’ My Best.”

“When recalling the time when Kelsea Ballerini posted a tweet in response to the scandal surrounding Morgan Wallen’s use of a racial slur in 2021, the use of social media as a platform to condemn Wallen’s actions seemed to find Ballerini in a pop-laden track.”

Unexpectedly, Kelsea Ballerini found herself facing criticism over the words she used in her response to the tone-deaf situation in “Best My Doin'” by readdressing the situation and publicly apologizing for what some considered a tone-deaf response. Although she has since apologized publicly, it was wrong of Twitter to kick my a** out for saying the right thing sometimes.

Now Ballerini, 29, is revealing her thoughts about that song, describing it as one that “probably the most exposed my vulnerability.”

“Moreover, you know, I didn’t execute it entirely correctly. Furthermore, you’re bound to encounter obstacles, and you’re bound to make mistakes. However, occasionally, while engaging in such endeavors, you’ll find yourself advocating for the values I hold dear. As an artist and a public figure, I’ve had to acquire this skill. I believe I have a tendency to constantly seek approval from others, and this experience taught me a valuable lesson. During a conversation with Yahoo!, Ballerini expressed.”

“I fully understand the importance of taking ownership,” she continued. “I want to clarify that I am not denying the existence of systematic racism. I want to clarify that I am not denying the existence of systematic racism. I want to clarify that I am not denying the existence of systematic racism. I want to clarify that I am not denying the existence of systematic racism. I want to clarify that I am not denying the existence of systematic racism. I want to clarify that I am not denying the existence of systematic racism. I want to clarify that I am not denying the existence of systematic racism. I want to clarify that I am not denying the existence of systematic racism. I want to clarify that I am not denying the existence of systematic racism.

In any case, precisely, I don’t use Twitter either. She claims that she is also taking time to educate herself more on the subject while focusing on her mental health. Since posting her controversial remark on the social media platform, Ballerini has chosen to remain inactive on Twitter.

Ballerini clarified, “Due to my heightened sensitivity, I experience every emotion deeply. I believe this attribute contributes to my proficiency in my profession. Alternatively, should I focus on my personal growth through therapy, actively engage in self-improvement, and acquire the necessary knowledge… While remaining receptive and utilizing the available resources?’ It felt like a dilemma: ‘Should I simply remain silent and only showcase the pleasant aspects of my life, thereby shielding myself from further vulnerability?’ Honestly, I believe it was following that particular incident when I comprehended that I possessed the power to make a decision.”

‘The Controversial Revisitation of History.’ In her cathartic book of poetry titled “Through the Way Your Feel,” songwriter/singer Wallen addresses the tweet she made about country artist Ballerini in 2021. This is not the first time controversy has surrounded her, but it certainly is significant.

As I age, something I’m attempting to improve and enhance with greater eloquence, and something I’m undergoing extensive therapy for, something I’m striving to acquire knowledge about, but it’s something that holds significance to me, so advocating for anything makes me extremely uncomfortable. What actions can I take? Is everyone alright? I find myself asking, “Is everyone okay? What actions can I take?” I come from a broken family and I am the sole offspring. I have experienced a limited extent of cancel culture relating to that matter,” Ballerini confessed during an interview with CBS This Morning.

“In her book of poetry, Marilyn Ballerini dives into another subject, exploring sexuality, self-love, relationships, and family, while also addressing the objectified feeling and onset of womanhood.

Marilyn is like a metaphor for me in this song, explaining the native Knoxville and the singer-songwriter. In this context, Marilyn represents a woman who deeply feels and presents herself in a way that relates to everyone, maybe even to me. Certainly, I can relate to her through social media and the way she connects with others.

I absolutely adored the concept of using this iconic and beautiful woman, who has such an intricate and emotional story, as a metaphor for all of us.

Kelsea Ballerini’s self-titled album, released in 2020, is currently being promoted on her headlining tour, which kicked off on October 14 and runs through the city of New York at Radio City Music Hall. The album includes songs like “Home,” “Drunk,” “Go,” “Muscle Memory,” “Subject to Change,” and “First Time,” along with her new record “Love Like Heart.”

I have recorded the entire experience of personal growth that I have undergone in the past few years. It feels like I have matured and learned a lot about myself, especially in my twenties. I have shared this journey thematically in my writing, which represents the changes that everyone goes through in life. I have been forced to adapt and evolve because of the significant changes that have occurred in the last couple of years. Obviously, I loved the subject matter and the way it has been represented.

Ballerini’s next scheduled tour date is on Thursday, October 6 at Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA with special guest Georgia Webster.
