Amy Robach, the previous host of Good Morning America, has secured a new position as an anchor.
Previously showcased on GMA3, Amy, who is 50 years of age, is approaching the final stages of finalizing an agreement to obtain a fresh television role with NewsNation.
Amy expressed to Daily Mail sources that she desired to completely discard the idea, but her co-anchor and partner, TJ Holmes, also had a plan for their company.
However, a few of the TV personality’s potential colleagues weren’t very enthusiastic about her new role at the news organization.
There is concern among many that the company may be perceived as a “dumping site” for anchors with troublesome histories.
Source one exclaimed, “We are like a dump for people who can’t get a better and bigger job elsewhere. It doesn’t do any good for our reputation! First Amy and then Chris Cuomo and Chris Stirewalt.”
The source also asserted that the “overall atmosphere in the establishment” is that Amy arrives with “excessive burdens.”
“The company should be pursuing individuals with no history of termination from other networks,” they stated.
The Daily Mail reported that the show, described as a weekly discussion with various newsmakers and stories of human interest from around the world, is scheduled to be broadcasted during prime time.
In December 2022, Amy and TJ, who were 45 years old, were replaced from the GMA anchor desk and substituted amid accusations of a marital affair.
The duo – who started hosting GMA together in 2020 – had been seen together on undisclosed outings last month.
On the 11th of November, a fortnight prior to Thanksgiving, TJ and Amy were seen delighting in a rustic weekend escape in upstate New York following the initial public awareness of their romantic involvement.
The U.S. Sun confidentially informed an insider connected to the creation of the family-friendly ABC news program that it appeared as though the duo were on the verge of being “forced out” of the conservative morning show – additionally stating that executives and top performers were livid about the colleagues’ romantic relationship.
The informant stated: “There is no possibility that they will be able to remain at GMA.
“They may not be outright fired, but they’ll be relegated to lesser roles, which will make it undesirable for them to continue.”.
According to a source, TJ and Amy are still not appearing on the broadcast, and there is no specific timeframe given.
“There are no disruptions here whatsoever,” the source informed the media.
“At the moment, the network is simply collecting information.
“They are examining the connection and comprehending the specifics before determining the next course of action.”
On December 30, 2022, TJ and Amy, the co-hosts of GMA, were once again spotted together in Miami, engaging in a moment of PDA while sharing a heartfelt connection.
On January 27, 2023, The U.S. Sun stated that both Amy and TJ were seen at ABC, after the scandal.
AMY’S PAST ROMANTIC INVOLVEMENT
Prior to marrying former Melrose Place actor Andrew Shue, Amy was in a 12-year union with Tim McIntosh.
She has two daughters, Ava and Analise, with McIntosh.
Amy began the process of divorce in 2008 and ultimately got married to Andrew on her thirty-seventh birthday, which occurred on February 6, 2010.
She has three stepsons from her union with Shue: Nate, Aidan, and Wyatt.
As per Page Six, the divorce of Amy and Andrew is “nearly completed” after the revelation of the alleged affair.
