An individual under investigation in relation to a gunfire incident on Tuesday, which led to a school lockdown in west Bexar County, has been apprehended by law enforcement officers.

Shortly after the dispatchers were informed that there may have been a shooter nearby, two separate calls were received by deputies regarding shooting incidents involving two vehicles, both occurring at around 12:30 PM in the 12000 block of Victorian Oaks High School Brennan.

The school was placed on lockdown as a precaution, with the deputies from Bexar County, the fire department, and the police district working in cooperation with the school administration and the searched department.

Sheriff Javier Salazar stated that it was secure for the officers to thoroughly search and ensure the safety of the school once more. Additionally, officials received a text message after the school was cleared, revealing the presence of an individual carrying a weapon.

Salazar said that in the investigation to determine whether individual A was involved in the shooting, they quickly dispatched other deputies to a home several miles away where they found a person of interest who was clearing the school along with other deputies.

Salazar stated that the individual apprehended is a student at Brennan, but deputies do not believe he entered the school.

Salazar expressed, “The chronological sequence simply doesn’t make sense.” “We discovered him in a place that he wouldn’t have been able to reach school from, and he was situated several miles away.”

Deputies also discovered one of the alleged vehicles left behind a few miles away from the school.

The sheriff said that deputies, while continuing to survey the area, did not encounter anything that seems to be gunfire hitting the neighborhood.

The lifting of the lockdown at Brennan resulted in students resuming their regular schedule.

If anyone has any information regarding the shooting, please get in touch with the sheriff’s office at 210-335-6070.
